As a result of my studies into the artwork of Ancient Peoples, I became curious about primitive pigments.   I began collecting ochre and minerals and refining them to use as paint.  The process has been enlightening.  I learn something new with every piece I create.

In these paintings, I have combined primitive pigment with conventional acrylics and other media.  I am pleased with the results.
