These paintings are the result of my ongoing exploration into primitive pigments. They are painted with acrylics and a clay that I collected while on vacation. After grinding the clay into a powder, I began a series of experiments to learn how the pigment would work as a paint. I have been mixing the pigment into different mediums and experimenting with various techniques of application.
